The 24-year-old Brazilian has come a long way since beginning his career in Japan, were he played for three different teams.
Hulk arrived at Porto in 2008 for €5.5 million, after his incredible 2007 season for Yokyo Verdy in which he scored 37 goals in 42 appearances.
This is by far his most efficient season in his three years at Porto, playing in a squad in which many players matured at around the same time, the likes ofRadamel Falcao and Silvestre Varela among them.
As always, with success come transfer rumours, and Hulk has been linked with a host of clubs, particularly Manchester United , Inter Milan and most recentlyManchester City who are set to offer €30M for the striker.
Hulk has a €100 million termination clause in his contract, which expires at the end of the 2013/2014 season, but he is valued at €15M-20M.
In any case, a move doesn’t look like happening in January, since Porto have said that they won't let the Brazilian leave before the end of the season. But come the summer, Porto will have a hard time keeping this wonderful player who has caught the eye of so many clubs.
